Is there a plugin for this that I can use only in Firefox? I am NOT planning to install PulseAudio systemwide. I recently uninstalled it due to a conflict that caused me to lose all sound from my computer's CD player and any audio files I had stored locally. The audio works fine in other browsers.

I use Arch Linux x86, the stock Firefox build from the Arch Linux PKGDB and ALSA for sound output. Actual results: No sound was ever played. The Gnash (GNU replacement for Flash) plugin does play sound but any other way to play audio inside Firefox fails. Expected results: It should have played sounds.
