Any ways, I played two videos one with Atmos audio and one with DTS:X audio via the Plex Player app on my Shield TV and my receiver reported back that indeed it was getting and playing back Atmos and DTS:X. The Plex Player app had Direct Play enabled and Bit-streaming set to Auto (I think that's right will have to confirm later if needed).
