Tucson, AZ. IME the HPM 100's are too bright. I replaced the mids and tweets with same from S-710 and did the crossover mod. They're still pretty bright so I use a Schiit Loki to turn down the treble a bit. They sound pretty good now. I think if you're looking for high fidelity, the HPM 100's are not that good.

True HPM-100 woofers are thick and stiff (carbon fiber) and do not have foam surrounds that will rot. HPM-150s and HPM-1500s do.
