For solo fingerstyle acoustic guitar, I chose a Pendulum Audio MDP-1a and a John Hardy M-2, each with two channels. They are both great for solo fingerstyle guitar. There are others that do well too, so these aren't the only choices, just my favorites of the pres I tried before buying. I've tried many since. I'm not changing anything.
