Synchronizing mode - the other modes sound strange because your pc isn't fast enough (either this of it's because of your latency settings)and setting it to async will play as good as possible but as the name says,the sound will be of sync.

There's also a little slowdown in battles and just walking around (depending on what's around). And for some reason some times the audio doesn't sync with the video. I tried changing settings and looking this up but it hasn't helped so far. Any suggestions? Oh and if it helps I'm using PCSX2 1.0.0 on Windows 8. I have: AMD Quad-Core A8-5500
