No Sound through pc/dvi audio in. 11-20-2012 11:41 PM. I have an Insignia NS-42E470A13 TV and have used two laptops to play video thru the HDMI 1 port. The first laptop is a macbook with a DVI to HDMI converter with no sound so the heaphone jack on the mac is connected to the pc/dvi audio in jack on the tv. This worked fine.

Audio into (TV/Monitor) should have seperate setting each mode used. HDMI input uses HDMI sound settings - VGA./DVI/RGB(not RCA) input uses PC sound input settings only. Put TV/Monitor in desired mode then go to setting for that mode. Test sound output from computer while in that mode.
