    In the meantime I got one S2721D and I can confirm that 3.5mm jack act as a line-out port from HDMI/DP audio. My setup is PC > DP Audio > 3.5mm jack > external speaker and it works pretty well ! In this setup you have to shut off internal speaker (via osd menu) or put volume to 0 otherwise both internal speaker and external one will output sound.
