Ok so I was thrilled with my Pioneer head unit. Looks good and sounds great. But, I found out today that the sound for phone calls only comes out of the phone; called Crutchfield and apparently I need to open the damned dashboard up again to connect the parking brake wire, just to be able to reset the sound to something called "speaker mode".

I just installed an Alpine IVA-D300 and was going crazy trying to figure out how to make the DVD work and bypass the parking and foot brake wiring. Unlike Pioneer which only has 1 brake wire to bypass, Alpine's are more guarded with their DVD bypass wiring while driving. You can't simply ground 1 brake wire.
