Serial driven parametric equalizer | diyAudio

Good morning, I'm looking how to achieve parametric EQ driven by serial commands (issued by an Arduino). I wouldn't like to process the audio in the Arduino because I want it real time and high quality, something that I think, Arduino can't perform. At this time, I know the TDA7317 for...

Subwoofer parametric equalizer: how many bands? | diyAudio

Definitely one for DSP. If you're struggling for filters, though, I'd say 2-3 as a minimum. With my current system and room, I can do the broad strokes with two filters below 100Hz. However, parametric EQs are just bell curves, and those don't match the lumps & bumps of the room particularly well.

Nov 21, 2019. #1. There doesn't seem to be a straight forward way to do this: 1. VST plugins: I have found these to be hard to use and unstable. Bandwidth is usually in octaves, not Q. 2. Effect DSP: In the IIR filter section there are single frequency PEQ filters. A new instance of the plugin is required for each frequency.

Using a raspberry pi as a parametric EQ? : diyaudio

    https://www.reddit.com/r/diyaudio/comments/ni5syz/using_a_raspberry_pi_as_a_parametric_eq/
Hardware parametric EQs are super expensive so I was wondering if I can use something like a Scarlet 2i2 to input a signal from my hifi setup into a raspberry pi running EQ software, and then output it again back into the hifi chain? Perhaps as simple as having pulseeffects running a system-wide EQ and using mplayer or vlc to constantly input ...
