They are quite good and better than many here would like to admit; however, I feel the metal tweeters used by Paradigm prevent them from being an optimal two channel speaker.

I have fond memories of the Paradigm Reference Studio 20. When I reviewed the original version for the February 1998 issue of Stereophile, it was the model that started me on my quest to seek out the best affordable loudspeakers.I believe that of all the speakers I've reviewed, the original Studio 20 remained in the magazine's "Recommended Components" longest.

Hi everyone, I am looking to start a small 5.1 system. I will probably be around 60% music and 40% movies. I have listened to as many different speakers as I could find. My tastes and my budget have me down to the Paradigm Studio 20's v3 for mains and the Monitor Audio Silver S2's. I will...

With the v5 iteration of its Reference Studio 20, Paradigm has surprised me. This detailed, dynamic bookshelf model has a naturally coherent integration of the midrange and high frequencies that I found intoxicating'it may have set a new benchmark at its price for stand-mounted speakers.

I had to downsize from my large Paradigm Studio Monitors circa 1994 when I finally decided to get a built in entertainment center. My initial concerns going from a floor standing to a bookshelf speaker were unfounded. The Studio 20's are fantastic. They sound great for rock,(I do have a large sub) classical and jazz.
