This is NOT the case! The TV appears to condition the audio so that all I receive at the bose is PCM 2.0 quality audio. I have confirmed the issue with the manufacturer tech support (ie, the TV only acts as a true pass through if you use the cable/ant input). Huge bummer! TV has no other high quality sound output other than optical (no coaxial).
