It is a thin cable with a small two pin female plug on each end. It plugs into to the side of the graphics card and then to a two pin spdif header on the mobo.

I previously had my Geforce 9600 GT connected to an Samsung LE37BD TV by using the DVI IN (HDMI 2) (AUDIO R/L) connections as mentioned in the manual. Previously on older Nvidia Drivers this was working like a charm. Now, I only get graphics output but no sound. The nVidia DVI port was then sending the NULL sound signal to the TV.
