Based on that, I would not expect drastic sound quality differences between it and a pair of M2200's. The M2200's would give you the option for triggered or auto-detected turn-on - something that the Acurus lacks and that might be a user-friendly aspect from the wife's standpoint if you are manually turning the Acurus on right now.
