The results to my ear: all X-1, X-1 + X-2, or all X-2 were the best configurations. Any time another cable was introduced into the chain, there was a significant collapse of the positive sonic attributes I heard with the pure Oritek setup.

I bought 2 pair of their X-1 RCA-RCA interconnects about 4 months ago and found them to be the best I have used (I have had Nordost Red Dawn, Blue Heaven, Cardas Neutral, Cardas Cross, Purenote, Tara RSC, Silver sonics, and Wireworld polaris).

When I first heard about the Oritek X-1 interconnects, I felt more than a bit of skepticism. Here was another set of inexpensive wonder cables poised to wreak havoc upon the competition. Unfortunately for the X-1s, they arrived when other contenders, the Harmonic Technology Cyberlights, were here for a listen.

The Oritek X-1 interconnects retail for a whopping $249 a meter with RCAs, a bit more for balanced connectors, a bit less for "bulk purchases," which means two or more. Their price doesn't hint at much, which is nice. These are very good cables. They are not "very good for the price," they are just very good.
