    Audio seems to go into some kind of stand-by mode whenever no audio is playing for ~10 seconds. On the receiver, the PCM icon will disappear then the HDMI icon will flash then disappear also. And when I play audio it then takes between 3 and 5 seconds before the PCM and HDMI icons come back and then it'll play the audio.

    My setup is HDMI from an Nvidia Shield to an Onkyo TX-NR676, and HDMI out from there to my LG 49 UK 6300. I busted out the slow mo on my camera, and ran a YouTube audio sync test. My non-dolby digital audio delay was about 200ms. I slid the Nvidia TV audio adjustment slider to 200ms, and now non-dolby sound is all in sync.
