    If its a add-on sound card,then if its just been added to the pc,then you. need to disable the on-board sound in the BIOS.If thats been done,reinstall it. to another PCI slot.I doubt that xp cant use or run any sound card,most cards. run on microsoft drivers of 2001 era.
