The ohm's are used in a den system with a 1973 AR amp that was designed for 4 ohm load-an 18 year old onkyo cd player-with cheap cables/speaker wire.The room has tile floors and is small-14sx11. MANY of my audio-friends have heard the ohm system and are truely in amazement at the sound-the highs-the soundstage-even the bass from an 8 inch driver.

10-24-2021 2:25pm. Edit. Delete. I have owned a pair of Ohm Walsh 2000s for a little over 2 years now, and I can say that I am completely satisfied with them. Indeed, I think they are the best speakers I have ever owned, with the exception of a Pair of Ohm A speakers I owned back in the mid-70s.

I'm currently running my Ohm 1000s with a Schiit Aegir amp which is 20 watts/ch at 8 ohms and 40 watts at 4 ohms. (The Ohm 1000s and bigger are 6 ohm speakers.) I am really enjoying this setup -- my prior amp was a Hypex with 150 watts/ch at 8 ohms (and a Bel Canto C5i prior to that) and I like the sound with the Aegir better.
