    Turns out the very very very last audio controller was muted, and apparently the chip number followed by -1 is the designation for the HDMI audio (should have known that apparently). Im very impressed so far with xbmc and linux, it does boot quicker then windows 7, and it doesn't seem to choke when displaying cover art where wmc did have issues.
