When I Inject Nvidia, I get HDMI audio, however OS X sees 0 MB for VRAM. If I don't inject, I get full 2047 MB for VRAM but no HDMI audio. That setup involves passing the audio signals over normally unused portions of the DVI port and require a special adapter with some circuitry to pull the audio out of the DVI output and format it for output over HDMI. Regular DVI-HDMI physical adapters and cables do not work with those setups and I don't believe they are used in any Nvidia designs.
