Normalize(1.0) is right where clipping begins and 0.98 will work the same for all audio streams. Now, if one of them has some high volume passage then the rest of it won't become much louder but that's hardly the fault of the Normalize filter. Maybe you'll find the third party AudioLimiter filter useful, together with Normalize.

I've seen the Normalize function but I want to normalize with reference to all other clips and not itself. Thanks in advance for any help with this. Secondly, and more importantly, I was wondering if there was a tool outside of scripting that will apply a single avisynth script across several clips.
