I untick ‘use old player’ I get picture but no audio. I do also own a 4K Samsung HDR TV with plex so I can watch ATMOS through that however ( this is a big however ) the TV doing it doesn’t have a patch on Apple TV 4K. The picture is night and day better and the audio running to the 7.1 audio is stunning.

Check your sound settings and uncheck DTS Capable Receiver, AC-3 Capable Receiver and LPCM Capable Receiver (I think there's a TrueHD one in there as well). Unless you have a capable receiver, of course, then something else is the issue. Well, I started it up to check those settings, and now it works for no reason.
