I've actually had this problem myself with an xbox, and unfortunately my only advice is to let the console run for a short while, and unplug and replug while it's running, and then turn it off and on a few times. It's not very technical at all, but after about five straight minutes of doing this, I eventually got a signal. Best of luck to you!

Have you tried resetting the video / audio settings on the Xbox? If not try doing this. Turn off the console and restart it using the controller.
