Mpg video plays but no sound - only in Media Player 12 I have *.mpg files that play the video but with out sound in my new Windows 7 PC with wmp 12. Weird thing is that the files play without this issue in Windows Media Center and in the Sony Vegas Studio software I have installed.

These were all working normally in media player 12 before. Eventually I found the problem only exists for audio encoding of MPEG Version 1 Audio. (All my BLEACH episodes !!!!!! ) Most of my older AVI files have MPEG Version 1 Audio !! Nothing so far has fixed the problem. Every other type of video works e.g. AC3 encoded.
