if by the audio you mean the drag-bar under the iDVD "preview" control, then that's all the way to the right. I've opened older iDVD files and they work. It's not the sound in imovie, that works. I've tested newer 30 second imovie projects I've made and they don't work either, something in iDVD is messed up.

While I can hear the audio in the slideshows, I cannot hear the audio in the iDVD menus. The Menu Info shows the audio icon, but still no sound. I've tried redoing the audio by dragging the audio from media > itunes back into the drop zone, but no luck. Since this worked previously I'm assuming I've moved something somewhere and iDVD can't find it.

I have a .avi file (two actually) that I wish to Burn on to DVD, but it only plays with sound in VLC. In the other programs I've playd it in there is no sound (Quicktime, Divx Player, iDVD) I don't care about it not working in QT and DviX, but I wish to burn it and there is no sound durign the preview in iDVD.

I'm another user with IDVD sound problems I'm running Leopard and the IDVD that comes with it. I'm trying to burn a video dvd generated from an AVI video (Xvid). Although the preview has sound on the video, the burned dvd only has sound on the menu screens. Since the preview can play the sound quicktime obviously has a codec it can use.

I then used iDVD (on my MacBook Pro, using 10.5) to burn a DVD. The DVD now works fine on the MacBook Pro, but when I try to view it on my standalone DVD player, I get video but no sound. In the past, I have successfully used this same procedure a number of times with no problem. I'm not sure why I'm getting stuck here.
