Dec 28, 2016. #1. I have both my PlayStation 3 and my Cable Box connected to my Sony HDTV via individual HDMI Cables. The audio is run through the TV and is output through an Optical Audio port (Toslink) to my Pioneer 5.1 system. When using the PlayStation, everything works great, but when I use the Cable, I get picture but no sound!
