However, under Sound there is no device listed. I think the issue is not audio driver since both Intel and USB audio show fine in Device Manager but not in Sound setting. For the testing, I connected a Lenovo USB docking station to the computer. The docking station has USB audio and I also have a Plantronics wireless headset connected.

Go into Options/Audio and choose your card as the input and playback timing master. Then go to the Advanced tab and choose the driver mode. Close then re-open Sonar. Windows 7 Pro 64Bit. I have no audio from it at all. I am temporaly using a sound blaster usb card.

I discovered some other older (non-Paradox) games that were having similar audio issues and when digging around with their tech support, found a strange system environment variable that was the culprit. No idea how it got there, but I had one with the name "SDL_AUDIODRIVER" and value "directsound".

Win-alt-R. If the device is not listed, check the sound control panel to see if it’s disabled, and enable it. And if there is no default device at all in the sound control panel, contact support. Finally, check whatever you’re playing sound from, like if it’s say youtube, and make sure it’s not muted on the actual app.

no sound on discovery plus. Discovery plus has had no sound for a week now. I have X1 and all my other streaming apps through xfinity are fine. So are all my channels. I have done a system refresh, unplugged cable boxed, reset the SAP setting. It is the only channel that has no sound at all.
