There is no ACM decompressor for WMA Pro. The WMV9 VCM codec is for video only, not for audio =) And if I am not wrong, ffdshow dropped support for the ACM interface "ages ago", even before the 'tryouts' phase. If I were you, I would use an intermediate Avisynth script.

If you get messages like "no audio compressor could be found. source format tag: xxxx" from VirtualDub, you should manually add the following line to your windows\system.ini file under [drivers32] section: msacm.xxxx=ac3acm.acm (in my case xxxx=2000 too, but i've heard something about 0050 or 0x50)

Avoid transcoding the sound to AC3. MPEGs don't support it and you, later, will need an application capable to convert AC3 --> MP2. WAV -> ACV3 is useful only to author a DVD or to make an AVI with dolby surrond sound (and how will you watch it? With a DVD player with surround speakers, I assume, or the sound heard won't be Dolby Surround at all!)

"no audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format" I read around and kept reading the advice to use Virtual Dub Mod. I tried this too. At First the wav starts to save fine, but it gets to just after half way and stops saving.

Input file is mov with h264 video and aac audio. Plays video and audio OK. I want to change the video frame rate and then time stretch the audio to match.
