Im not hearing or seeing much difference. The only real difference I read is that NicAudio cant transcode AAC or something like that. If I encode the same audio source to AAC-LC, one with NicAudio and one with FFAudioSource, is one going to be any better or different than the other once the output is all finished?

Of course your output files are corrupted but I can't reproduce these results. Using your source.mp2 and decoding with NicMPG123Source() function I obtain perfect outputs ac3, aac and ogg. With your source.mp2 I obtain bitidentical wav files using old or new NicAudio, old or new MPASource (WarpEnterprises).

I will be using the WAVSource, AVISource, DirectShowSource, NicMPG123Source, bassAudioSource and FFAudioSource API calls when I can.
