I find the various versions of surround sound undecipherable when you factor in the Tivo, HDMI and my TV. When I set the Tivo video resolution to AUTO, the sound sync on Netflix got markedly better. Per the suggestion a couple posts above, I set the sound format to PCM instead of Dolby Digital and the sync seems even better. OK so far.

The issue seems to be intermittent to some extent and variable in severity but it is generally getting worse and it's now becoming irritating to watch anything on any of the channels/apps. It played at 'best' quality, but was unwatchable due to the sync being so far off on the TiVo. The silverlight client didn't exhibit the problem with the same quality stream on my laptop.
