Anyway, all's well that ends well and now I am the owner of a fully functioning Nakamichi RX-202. I hadn't listened to a tape on a Nak for probably over 20 years but I was always fond of their signature sound and when I threw some headphones on as soon as everything was back together, I could hear why again.

The RX-202 was the bottom of the RX-series. I believe it's a two-head deck, with a few features less than the top line ones. It's still a Nak though, but not one of the ones that will fetch big dollars, so you need to figure out how much you want to put into it to get it running.
