NAD vs. Cambridge Audio - Audiogon Discussion Forum

Cambridge Audio is to Arcam what Volkswagen is to Audi. My older Arcam alpha 8 integrated + 8p bi-amping combo belongs to a league well under the NAD 315bee. The NAD 315 offers more of everything. Arcam is 4x more expensive than NAD, and Cambridge Audio is 2x more expensive than NAD.

Ive had both Nad and Cambridge Audio. I prefer the CA over the Nad. The Nad is rock solid and tons of power and has a heavy bottom end and will drive power hungry speakers. I like the Cambridge Audio because it sounds more detailed and has a finesse to it. It seems to sound more smooth and relaxing than the nad.

So far, it seems like the best contenders are the Marantz PM8005/8006, Cambridge CXA80 and the NAD C368. Anyone have any experience with any of these models?

Music Hall vs. NAD vs. Cambridge Audio vs ? I have a pair of Linn Katan speakers on stands, currently driven by an older Acurus LS11 preamp and an A150 power amp. I would like to switch to an integrated amp and am looking at the Music Hall 15.3, the NAD 326BEE, the Cambridge Audio 651, and possibly the Creek 50A although that's getting up there ...

The Cambridge is a bit warmer (although I would charecterize both lines as "warm"), but the ends of the audio spectrum is a bit rolled off with the Cambridge amps. The Cambridge is more relaxed and laid back, the NAD is more involving.

Cambridge Audio CXA81 vs NAD C368 Looking at these 2 (probably not so budget) integrated amplifiers, the Cambridge being more expensive. Anyone got any experience with any of these 2 integrated amplifiers and have any recommendations as to which one would be a better choice? NAD has some nice extra features from what I can see:
