10-29-2008 2:35pm The NAD M3 should work well with the Contour 5.4. The other integrated to consider is the Musical Fidelity A5.5. Musical Fidelity has always paired very well with Dynaudio. The Dynaudio 5.4 typically works best with MINIMUM of 200 watts into 8 ohms. Dealer disclaimer applies (but I also do all 3 lines mentioned in your post).

Unlike the 20Wpc 3020, which was inexpensive and looked it, the 180Wpc M3 costs much more than many entry-level two-channel integrateds. Even so, its build quality seems that of a product costing many times its $2799 price. The chassis is made of 2mm-thick milled steel plates, the front panel of extruded aluminum and diecast zinc.

Danman, I agree with you. About 2 months ago, I listened to the NAD M3 with speakers from B&W, Dali, and Dynaudio. I can only say that I was thorougly impressed with what I heard. To my ears it had a smooth fatigue free and detailed presentation with wide dynamics, and clean a separated soundstage.

The Emit M10, while being small, has an excellent frequency response of 50Hz to 23kHz (± 3 dB). It is a two-way speaker with a 2.8cm soft dome tweeter and a 14cm woofer and the sound quality is top-notch. The price for the setup on 4 May 2017 is: NAD C 338 amplifier = £599.00 on Amazon.co.uk. A pair of Dynaudio Emit M10 = £499.00 on Amazon.co.uk.

With an ultra neutral speaker like the Dynaudio, your sound profile will be slightly forward. The M32 will drive the Excites well and obviously has a ton of features. The Anthem STR integrated looks really interesting and is also in this price range at $4500. It has a similar feature set but lacks the ability to add modules like the BlueOS module.
