I love the mustang but the Shaker 500 is pure crap. I have a 2016 expedition and the stereo in it is great stock. I put a 12" JLAudio sub with ported box in mine and it's sounds great. I opted to go with a keenwood x-500 amp to save a little money. The set up cost about $1000 with install.

The reason I'm asking is I wonder if its worth it to go 400A with Shaker Pro vs. 301A (includes Premium stereo) - it's about a $3000 difference with my car spec'd out. The only reason I'd upgrade to a GT premium is if the Shaker Pro is a substantially better sound system.

The Shaker 500 base sound in my 07 convertible can make my heart dance at level 3/4 where the Shaker Pro has to be at 7/8 for the same effect. Additionally, the base sound is not as intense at all volume levels, and the system emits a "muffled" sound at lower volumes.
