For newer devices, I would try the more accurate emulation profiles, like GLideN64-Medium or GLideN64-Accurate.     For me, Pokemon stadium reaches 30fps but for some animations fps drops and audio splutters. Mario 64 the same. Conkers and 007 both hit around 20fps so not really playable. Using pi 4 4gb weekly dev build. Only setting changed was 4:3 resolution (bumped resolution to 960x something (can't remember)) Mupen64plus next is the same, with framerate at full.

    9 Apr 2020, 15:44. @quicksilver I went for a variation on your suggestion, I had a look at the audio settings for lr-mupen64plus-next and increased Audio Latency (ms) to 512 (from 64). It seems to have smoothed out most of the audio issues I have. The game still doesn't run at 100% speed but it is well playable.
