MTX 1501d (old design amp) Well I couldn't help myself and picked up another toasted MTX 1501d. Replaced all the power supply FETs and 2 gate resistors and the power supply fires up without issue. Oddly enough, there is no switching on any of the output fets. LED 238 is not illuminated.

I just got the MTX Thunder 1501D installed in my truck by Creative Acoustics in NC. They used the 1501D's when they set the world db record. This amp is out of that ride and i have it hooked up to a MTX 9500 dual voice coil sub. It is currently running at 2 ohms and it HITS harder than any 12" sub and amp combo i have heard before.

When you bridge a 2 channel amp you are making it into a mono amp making it into a 1 channel amp. The mtx 1501d is a mono amp already it's a 1 channel amp, so yes you'll get full power out of the amp. But wire the sub in series not parallel to get 2 ohms. d-REW. tuTWENTY.
