You'll just get the mts files ready to be used. These files will play with sound in Premiere and also Windows Live Movie Maker as well as Windows Media Player. It took me weeks to try and figure out why these files had no sound and finally called Canon and got the instructions I just gave you.

Software works great side from turning 1.5GB files into massive 11gb files. Like I said this is last I checked and I no longer use .MTS and to my knowledge the codec is no longer used in any current camera systems. Edit: Try a software called Rewrap that saves you having to transcode the files and just changes the delivery container.

If audio is showing in Premiere, then there's nothing wrong with the camera or card. Seems the issue is with Windows/Windows Media Player. You can download freeware "VLC Media Player" and should play the files with no problem, then set it as default media player for mts files. Or update the codecs for Windows Media Player/download a codec pack.
