    - load your mpg - go to 'Streams'/'Stream List' - disable the audio track you do not want and press OK - select 'Video'/'Direct Stream Copy' - save your mpg Then you can continue with AVStoDVD Bye P.S. This VirtualDubMod workflow works for AVIs. I am not sure you can do the same with mpg.

There was a bug with MPEG Streamclip after Mac OS X 10.6.3 update/QuickTme 7.6.6 update, which could cause loss of audio when working with MPEG files. MPEG Streamclip 1.9.3b3 fixed that (but lost YouTube compatibility). See News section on its website. You post here, and you get replies here.

I too am getting no audio in MPEG Streamclip, neither when I play the clip in it nor when I play the exported clip in QT. Funny thing is when I first started using it about 2 weeks ago, I converted a few AVI's just fine into MP4's using it, with sound. Then for no reason I can fathom MPEG Streamclip stopped giving me sound.

Open QuickTime Pro and open the original MPEG. Choose File Exports QuickTime. This will export the video, but will not export the sound because QuickTime does not demux. Now you should have three files: .aiff audio file .m2v un-usable video file (you will not need this) .mov usable video file Open iMovie. Create a new project.

So I import it into MPEG Streamclip, edit the clip, and then export it. But the audio is not synced with the video. I've played around with it quite a bit and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. On the export, the settings I am using are: Export to MPEG-4, Compression is Apple MPEG4 Compressor, frame size is 720 x 480 (DV-NTSC).

Video exporters can export just the audio track if you choose "No Video", or the source has no video tracks All "Convert to" commands except "Convert to TS REC" and "Convert to TS VID" can convert all audio tracks of the MPEG stream; all "Demux" commands are still limited to only one audio track per pass (but this may change in the future).

I use Mpeg Streamclip to SAVE AS and choose MP4. That saves the file as an .mp4 opposed to .mov, and PCs seem to like that better. All it is doing is changing the container. Try it. Shane Little Frog Post Read my blog, Little Frog in High Def

And here's the fix: Download MPEG Streamclip, and unzip it--no install needed. The latest beta version is fine. Open one of the broken files in MPEG Streamclip. Select File > Save As, and select a new save location. You probably want to keep the file name the same as the original (this is the default). Hit OK.
