      I'll leave diagnostics to my betters here, but in case you need to get a project out the door, here's a possible workaround: Delete the sound from the PPT. Save as WMV to get a silent movie. Bring the WMV into Windows Movie Maker, add the sound there (multiple times if needed to make it loop) and then save out to movie again.
