Briefly two facts: In Windows I have under "Playback Devices" the default format "DTS Interactive (5.1 Surround)" (Realtek drivers make it possible). MPC-HC should use "Internal Audio Renderer" as audio renderer (much better quality than the native one) But both together don't work, then no sound comes (for mp3/flac/wav/...).

K-Lite Mega Codec Pack used ffdshow for an audio filter/decoder. I used it to get either Stereo sound over HDMI or 5.1 Dolby Digital Live sound over SPDIF with my Creative X-Fi Titanium sound card.
