When playing a file with a DTS track, LAV says it's bitstreaming and the AVR shows that it is receiving DTS, but there's no sound. Unchecking DTS formats causes it to send PCM to the AVR, which does work. AC-3 works fine. I am able to bitstream the audio from the same file in Kodi and it plays as expected.

"System-Standard" is almost certainly the same DirectSound audio renderer that MP is using. So when MPC-HC plays the same file and audio stream successfully, does the receiver show PCM or DTS-HD MA? P.S. I assume you've tried to play the same file with MPC-HC within the last day or two? The version of LAV you're using is quite new.

MPC-HC has been frustrating the hell out of me recently. i've got a PC with a Realtek-based onboard sound solution (specifically the Realtek ALC1150). according to the specs, this should be able to natively decode surround sound streams like DTS and AC3.
