The RX8's are more in line with B&W's CM7's, so the CM9's should outpeform the RX8's, but as always, its personal preference. Along the lines of what lunarwolf has already said, you could try the Monitor Audio GS20's, which are a little more comparitive to the CM9's. There are plenty of speakers out there in the £1500-2000 to try out.
