Monarchy M22B simply sounded fuller and very musical I figured 20 Bit DAC was the way to go, and came across an Audio Research DAC-5, dual 20 bit Ultra analog (Ultra Analog was new to me) well ok... lets upgrade to Ultra Analog, Rubbish!!! it sounded dry, it had most of the other good attributes but still sounded dry and flatter than Texas.
