I've converted several mkv files successfully using mkv2vob but I'm having issues with a couple of series I'm trying to convert. The sound when I convert is in essence incredibly slowed down so the sound on the files becomes greatly out of sync and muffled and basically unable to be watched due to in essence watching with no sound.

This is fixed in later versos of MKV2VOB, but the patching DTS no longer works, in 2.4.9. for sure, so, I went back to 247, and with this info, EVERYTHING works. I was tired of the Cinavia messages, and you don't get it with the DTS audio.
