I had an MKV file which I used mkv2vob on to convert it into an MPG. It plays fine on my PS3 and even shows DTS on the receiver. However on the host computer, the audio doesn't play. Mediainfo shows the audio is Audio ID : 4352 (0x1100) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : PCM

Keep PCM audio track when remuxing? I like the fact that you can just add a blu ray folder and then remux to mkv removing any unwanted tracks. However mkvtoolnix doesn't convert audio and I have a few movies with PCM audio. Would it be fine to leave the PCM track saving time in converting? Thankyou in advance. 0 comments.

The easiest solution currently is to use eac3to to extract the LPCM track, converting it to FLAC (still lossless) as it does so. Then you can use MKVtoolnix to mux this FLAC audio file back into the MKV in place of the LPCM track. It's a hassle but it works perfectly and isn't as difficult as it sounds.
