I recently got hold of a Michaelson Audio Odysseus valve amp. As far as I know this is a class A ultra linear amp. It has 8 EL34 power tubes, 2 ECC83 and 2 ECC85 pre-amp tubes. Ok so I picked up the Michaelson Audio (written on the amplifier) Odysseus Mark II and I am impressed. Great dynamics and lots of power (4 EL34's per channel Ultra Linear/Fixed Bias). What I don't understand is that the amp is rated 45 Watts per channel Class A, seems it has alot more steam than that and I didn't think 45 watts with 4 EL34's ...
