The OCD is very very versatile as compared to the crunchbox. With the crunchbox the only nice sound is high gain distortion for your hard rock needs. I'm not a big fan of the lower gain settings. Only get the crunchbox if you want to play hard rock/metal. I find myself using the OCD a lot more than the crunchbox.

As stated before, the crunchbox has more gain, but I found the OCD more amplike through my rig. However, each rig is different, so you may find you like the CB better in your rig. It can get very bright with the (IMO) fizzy highs that Fulltone pedals have. The OCD can clean up very well. It's more of a natural overdrive and on high gain settings can sound very 'hard' as opposed to 'spongy'. I daresay the CB is more marshall-esque than the OCD. In fact, the Fulltone website now describes the OCD as a Vox-y pedal.
