If video is enabled (with any transcodification parameter) and audio is set to "copy audio" only (no audio transcoding), I get videos without audio. Workaround, I extract de MP3 stream with Virtualdubmod from the original file and the I join it with the 'muted' video with Virtualdubmod too. I don't understand why this doesn't work in Mediacoder ...

put the ttxt file into mp4. language code can be found by mp4box -languages. mp4box -add out.ttxt:lang=eng subtitles.m4v. if the video and audio trackid is 0:0 and 0:1. ffmpeg -i in.mkv -i subtitles.m4v -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map 1:0 -c copy out.m4v.

Rationally: video stream copying can be useful for example when only the audio stream has to be encoded (like, uncompressed PCM to MP3). Audio stream (option -oac copy): straightforward. It is possible to take an external audio file (MP3, WAV) and mux it into the output stream. Use the -audiofile filename option for this.
