MBP i7 15' HDMI Audio is skipping when output to a TV. I have a mid 2010 15' i7 Macbook Pro, using a moshi mini display port adaptor to output both audio and video to a Sony Bravia 46' TV. Long story short, audio was working great initially, but the video was getting scrambled on screen. Took it to the Genius Bar they replaced the Logic Board.

Same issue here on a MBP16, I have the issue only on the left side USB ports though which is bizarre, if i use the right side they work. If I connect the HDMI cable I only get the video input from the MBP, disconnect HDMI cable and then audio starts playing back. I tried Dante's suggestion as well but this doesn't work really. If you see the manual it clearly states that when CD is used as the input source and any HDMI are assigned you can't set the video.
