1.) There is sound leak when the volume pot is set to minimum. 2.) Rear right speaker goes off sometimes, the sound comes on again when the volume increased a bit. 3.) Left and right channel tones are slight different than each other, left has more bass. Other functions are OK, the pots, switches and commutators are not noisy.

I have a Marantz 4400 that has an odd problem. It seems there is excessive DC on the outputs. It's in 4 channel mode and when the volume is down, I can see the woofers move in and out on all speakers and can hear a faint 'tap tap' noises coming from the speakers. The woofer will move in (or out) and then come to rest.
