Mactone specs out the amplifier at 8 ohms and I think it's a safe bet that the output transformers are tapped for nominally rated 8-ohm speakers. The MA-300B sits on four attractive but hard footers likely selected more for resonance tuning than isolation. All in all, I find the Mactone's design and construction nicely done.
